You have to admit: Despite the rising number of coffee shops, not all are conducive for chilling out. Some are too noisy, some are too crowded, and still others don’t have a good enough menu worth sticking around for. Don’t worry. We’ve taken care of your cafe-searching requirements. From waiting to cramming to just simple bored-at-home, we’ve listed 10 cafes that are perfect for all your hanging-out needs.

The establishments on this list were chosen based on location and purpose.

Uke Box Caffe also has ukulele playing training sessions for those who want to take uke-playing seriously but don’t know how to teach themselves. In fact, they’ve got a free ukulele workshop every Sunday this month from 3 to 5 pm! 🙂

Unicorns are all the rave nowadays because to be honest, what’s not to love about them?! Think of unicorns and you’ll automatically associate them with rainbows and glitters and just plain happy thoughts. So really, it’s not such a surprise that unicorns are such trending creatures.

If you’re a huge fan of unicorns (and if you dream of becoming a unicorn someday), we’ve found the food spot that could be your next happy place.

House of Unicorns Cafe is a newly opened cafe in Marikina that’s all about unicorns! And really, there’s no shortage of unicorns and bright stuff here. As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by pastel colors in the interior–from the walls to the chairs and even shelves. I doubt that anyone can feel down when they’re inside this cafe. Even just the colors of the interior are enough to get your spirits up.

Really, it’s not just about the unicorn theme that will make you keep coming back. The food is delicious, it offers an enjoyable experience, and it’s a great place to bond with friends and family!

It’s not just for unicorn lovers. House of Unicorns Cafe is for anyone who’s up for some good food and a great experience.

Now, if you plan on going to The Nook to geek out properly, you need to be ready to wait for a while. A looooong while. At least on weekends.

The place is small, and it’s nice that way. However, that also means that you will be waiting as other fellow Potterheads enjoy the awesomeness of the cafe.

Whether you are a Potterhead or know someone who is, The Nook is the perfect place to keep those Harry Potter vibes alive!

Barkin’ Blends Cafe

91 Rosa Alvero Street, J&R Concon Centre, Loyola Heights, Quezon City

For those who are not familiar what a dog cafe is, it is a place wherein you can pat the dogs and play with them. And while they do serve some drinks and meals, their main attraction are actually the cute furry dogs.

The entrance fee for the dog zone is Php 180.00 for 2 hours, inclusive of drinks. However, some additional charges may apply depending on your chosen drink.

I think this dog cafe will be great for those who really loves dog but for some reason is not allowed to own one.

Alice Tea Salon

We’re all mad for Alice Tea Salon’s gorgeous interiors, but more especially for its delectable teas. This Alice in Wonderland-inspired café serves authentic tea products, with tea leaves imported all the way from Taiwan. White Peach Ruby (P110) and Amber (starts at P110) will take you to Wonderland. Pair it with Ube Cheesecake (P150) or Lemon Bars (P50/ea) for a more psychedelic experience.
